Audio Systems: Problem with speakers after about 45 minute, output impedence, jetta gt

Hi there,

Installed Kenwood M425 MOSFET 4x50 MP3 deck
Front Speakers are Rockford Fosgate 4306 (100Watt)

After about 45 minutes of playing the sound sort of dies out, similar to the sound of a tape walkman running out of batteries.

Any suggestions?  I could not find the wiring chart for the 1997 Jetta GT, as the colors are brown and blue for the wires.

Hello Trever,
You have to first determine if the stereo if cutting off due to heat or a power supply problem to the stereo. Also double check your wiring to be sure that you do not have any of the speaker feeds or returns crossed. lastly double check what the output impedence of the stereo is and what the impedence of the speakers are! If the speakers are 4 ohm and the stereo is for 8 ohm speakers, this may be the problem.
