Audio Systems: Aiwa CD Changer Error, aiwa cd, rf modulator

I have an Aiwa 6 disc CD changer ADC-M55 with RF modulator RF-M55 I purchased/had installed in 1998 that is hooked up to the factory AM/FM cassette player of a 1994 Toyota Camry.  The RF modulator now gives me a flashing "Er 9" error code on the display when I turn the unit on which according to the manual is due to a "problem with a circuit in the unit".  When I put the magazine into the changer I can hear the discs attempting to load but then it quits.  Does this sound like an equipment problem that can easily be fixed?

Hello Mark,
The err code 9 is a fault code that is displayed if the laser pickup has a fault. This may be due to the lense being dirty or defective pick up. You can try cleaning the laser lense with a Qtip just dampened with rubbing alcohol.
