Audio Systems: 2001 Chrysler T&C lxi radio removal, chrysler dealer, radio clock

2001 fully loaded lxi Chrysler mini van with the seperate cd player below the heat/ac control panel.The radio/clock is totally dead. Fuse is good but the cd player has power and will display ready. Need to repair radio but I have to get the front bezel assy off. I pulled out the cup holder assy but didn't see the 2 screws that supposedly hold it in. I tried popping off the wood grain bezel but it's a little scary since I don't want to break it. Is there something in particular I should look for and try?

I'm not real sure about this, but i believe the trim around the stereo will snap away from the dash. just to be safe call your local Chrysler dealer and ask someone in service the correct way to remove the trim piece. If my memory serves me right I think the two screws that hold the bottom edge on is behind the cup holder. After the cup holder is removed the screws may be seen by looking up under the edge of the trim piece. With the screws out, simply lift up and out then pull away the trim piece.
