Audio Systems: Acura CD shows PEO error code, acura tl, customer support line

Hi Thanks for your help.
We have an'96 Acura TL with the factory in dash stereo.
CD part of unit won't play, An error code CPEO comes up when an cd is inserted. Can I fix this problem myself ? I do consider myself very capable and well equipt. I am looking to get more information before removing unit.

  call acura's customer support line before you do anything serious and see if they can tell you what the code means also you might try lookin in your owners manual .. now if none of this works out and you want a really good guide to help remove the dash and get to the unit stop by your local auto parts store and purchase a Haynes Repair manual for your specific vehicle usually 10-15 bucks and it will have pictures along with step by step instructions on every piece to your car not just the stereo so its a really good tool to have around if you are a do-it yourselfer ... hope this helps you out if you need anything else just let me know
