Question
I have a"98" Pontiac Montana. The LED went out on the radio and I have been told I have to replace the radio. I would like to know how to remove the radio from the car dashboard. The radio AM-FM with cassettee tape player and a CD player.

Answer
Dennis,

the best place for exact instructions is a haynes repair manual you can usually check one out from your local libary or buy one from your local auto parts store . i have a book on GM cars up to 2002 but i cant find anything on a pontiac montana but i do have cross ref instructions you can see if these apply to your car hopefully they will .. but if they dont here is 1800-621-3695 ext 3  this is for scosche the makers of dash install kits and wire harnesses give them a call tell them you purchased one of their dash install kits but lost the package with the instructions tell them make and model and they can give you exact directions .. but here goes

1-open ashtray take out one screw from lower right side of dash bezel
2 open 12V socket cover and extract one screw from the lower left dash bezel
3life bottom of dash bezel out to allow top edge to unhook from under air vents.. uplug your lighter/switches and remove
4 remove 2 7mm hex screws holding radio in unplug harness connector

i dont know if these will work but if they dont use the above number to get better directions .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
