Audio Systems: Stuck CD, gmc jimmy, gears

Question
I have a '96 GMC Jimmy with a factory installed AM/FM/CD player. The CD is stuck inside and won't come out! I have the unit out of the car and still can't get it to come out. Do you have any advice for how to get it to eject?

Hello George,
On many of these CD units I find broken or stripped load gears. To remove the stuck CD you can try turning the load motor manually to back the CD out. DO NOT pry on the CD deck or you can turn a minor repair into a major one. Please contact me direct for more info about your CD unit.
