Audio Systems: Toyota Radio model #51706 (95 Camry), radio model, intermittant

Intermittant noise on AM only (FM, CD fine). Starts
approx. one minute after radio comes on. Sort of fluttering sound also present when car is stationary. I believe this radio is a Fujitsu-Ten
unit. Does Sam's or anybody provide schematics for
these units?  Thanks for your help.   Tom

Hello Tom,
You could try calling Sams to see if they may have service info on this radio. If not, I order my manuals directly from Fujitsu-ten. Do you have the AM noise with the engine off and the key in ACC? I have seen this fluttering noise on some AM radios and it comes from defective capacitors in the AM front end of the circuit.
