Audio Systems: Removing a factory-fit radio in a Mitsubishi Carisma?, mistubishi, dash kit

Question
Hi,

I own a 1999 Mistubishi Carisma (UK car). I have just bought a Red Star RCD-103 Mp3 car radio and want to swap it over.

At the moment my car the standard factory-fit radio, which of course I need to remove in order to fit my new one.

Can you give me advice on how to do this without breaking anything please?

Many thanks
Eros

Answer
Eros,

ok you need 2 things .. one a dash install kit * which will have full instructions on the removal and reinstall of the dash piecesa and new and old units* and a wire harness adapter * to wire into your new units harness so it will plug back into the factory slot* .. these can be found at any local radio shack , circuit city , even wal-mart.. they are about 10 bucks each so it wont break you up .. but the dash kit will help walk you through the removal .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
