Audio Systems: FM DOES NOT COME IN ON INFINITY STEREO, mitsu eclipse, antenna cable

I have a 1994 Mitsu.Eclipse with Infinity AM&FM CD Player. CD plays and AM comes in but FM doesnt come in. any help will be greatly appreciated.

   radio is a tricky thing to trace down to an outside problem *meaning an outside of the unit force* usually either the radio comes in BOTH AM/FM or it doesnt when one comes in and the other doesnt a ton of factors can come into play from weather, cloud cover , charging system, even performance add ons can cause problems with reception.. now to get back to what could be the problem could be .. we will start with the cheapest first which is the antenna and cable give a good visual inspection of both the antenna and the cable and to make sure the cable is plugged into the back of the unit good along with the factory harness.. keep the unit out of the dash turn it on have someone wiggle the antenna outside to see if there is any change and also do the same check with the harness/antenna cable on the back of the unit if you cant notice a big differnce more than likly one side of the tuner has gone bad which is a common thing but normally not enough of a problem for someone to do a full replacement my best advice if that is the problem is to wait it out until something more serious happens to the unit so you can hold onto your money as long as possible .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
