Audio Systems: light problem on stereo, vacuum fluorescent display, station selection

Question
I have a 2000 Grand Am with am-fm-cd player with grafic eq. The readout on the station selection/clock went out but Ive noticed when the sun shines on the L E D, I can read it just fine;Is there a small bulb inside the stereo that's burnt out? Can I fix this myself? if so Please tell me how.. Thanks

Answer
Hello Terry,
Many of the LCD's use a back/s light to illuminate the LCD panel so that the digits will show up brighter. On some models they use a single lamp that can easily replaced and on other models they will have several small lamps that will take a little longer to get to for replacement. However with the complete model number I will be able to tell you if this radio uses a LCD panel or if it uses a (VFD)vacuum fluorescent display panel. Please give me the complete model number off the sticker on the radio.
