Audio Systems: Oldsmobile Theftlock, cutlass supreme, memory chip

Hi Tom,
 I have a 95 Cutlass Supreme with the theftlock on the stereo.THe battery went dead and locked it up.I have forgot the code.To make matters worse I have tried the allowed * wrong codes so it says inoperable & won't let me try any more codes.
  Do you know how to unlock the system.

Hello Todd,
Due to trying several wrong codes you have caused the memory chip to be flashed(basically)and this caused a complete erasing of the program in the chip. You will need to remove the radio and send it to a service facility for reprogramming. You can contact your local Olds dealer to ask where they send their radios for repair.
