Audio Systems: 2002 Nissian Sentra SER Spec-V, sound quality isnt, rca outputs

Question
I have an 02 sentra spec-v. I dont have the wiring kit yet for my amp, so untill then i wanted to run my amp of the stock wires. But the stock amp thats installed dosent seem to have RCA jacks on it. theres 2 harnesses with multiple wires going into each harness. Now ive been running my 2 subs off the stock amp. I cut the wires and found out which ones i needed in order to power the subs. But the problem is i need to find out which wires are the RCA wires. I belive i found the batt/ground/remote but seeing as there are no RCA jacks, i figured that they are there, but just dont have the plugs on the end. If you could help me out i would appreciate it alot. Maybe if you could find a layout of the wiring system or sumthing. Thanks alot, Josh

Answer
Josh,

ok , i would recommend buying a haynes repair manual for your specific vehicle its about 12 bucks and it will have a wire schematic for you to follow .. now if i was doing this install i would have hacked on the factory wiring nor converted the stock amp to push subs because its not made for that .. but now you have an amp to kick over your subs .. so i would recommend wiring the stock amp back up "stock" to where it pushes the component speakers ..now there are no RCA outputs or inputs on a stock system everything uses "hi in&outputs" now to get the RCA inputs that you need to hook up your aftermarket amp you need to buy a converter box about 15 bucks this will use your stock speaker wires + & - that feeds to the box an Hi inputs and converts them to RCA and you have your RCA plugs for your amp cables on the box .. now i never recommend using aftermarket subs/amps with a stock head unit because the sound quality isnt as good and its alot of work and blown money on converters and schematcis ect.. but this should have you pumping bass when you get everything wired in .. now you hit it lucky that you didnt really damage your subs and your stock amp'd system by cutting and resplicing the wires to pushing your sub/s... hope this helps you out i have a list of diagrams for wiring up speakers so you know how to wire in differnt ohms on my webpage so check it out it might help you
