Audio Systems: Sony TV Model 27S15, sound and vision magazine, dlp lcd

Hi,
I have a Sony TV Model #27S15. It's about ten years old. At first it was just taking a while for it to warm up, but now all I have is sound but no picture. Nothing but sound. Think it's a Blown Picture Tube?

Yep.

The good news is that replacing it these days with a like model will be very inexpensive. Having the tube replaced will not be worth the money. If you're looking into HD, DLP, LCD, alphabet soup, or plasma, check out two sources. First, for product descriptions and explanations of the technology, see "Sound and Vision Magazine" on-line: www.soundandvisionmag.com. Second, more for a fairly chilling reality check, "Consumer Reports". Yeah, I know, but their take on the new technologies (March '04--probably still on the newsstands) should give any purchaser pause to think. (The trade mags don't buy anything...)
