Audio Systems: Hatchback subs?, pontiac firebird, range speakers

I have just bought a 1988 pontiac firebird hatchback and i was woundering what size subs would sound the best in it?please e-mail me back.thanx

Two 10" or two 12" subwoofers are the most common setup. Two smaller subs can be mounted in one box and you'd only need one amp to run both, which keeps your costs down. With a hatchback you can use pretty much anything you want, upwards of two 15"s. At that point the bass becomes extremely overpowering, and it would cost a lot of money to buy enough mid-range speakers and tweeters to keep up with the bass. You'll also have to deal with the hatch door & license plate rattling, since the subs will be facing that direction. If you need any more advice please let me know.
