Audio Systems: Stereo system ejects the casset without playing it, casset, radio stereo

Hi Cody,
I have 1996, Sentra GXE with a factory installed Radio/Stereo casset palyer. It was working fine( never beed reparied) but few days back it started giving problem. The problem is, whenever I insert the casset in the player, it ejects the casset without playing it after looking both directions (<>)to play. Radio is working fine. I suspect the belt could be broken. Pls tell me if you recognize it same common/specific problem or if the repair is costly then how to remove the stereo system to put a new one.

  it sounds most definantly like an internal problem which is most common of internal parts on factory units to go out with age .. if your heart is set on keeping the factory unit you might try surfing around some local electronics shops to see if anyone can do a repair .. but i dont recommend this because usually it cost to much to repair an aging factory unit when you can buy a new aftermarket for a few dollars more .. if you decide to go new just make sure you buy a wire harness adapter to make your install go smooth .. if you need anything else let me know
