Question
My Audi A6 2.4 V6 1998 Model (TIPTRONIC) has started jerking gears when advancing them forward when it is in automatic(DRIVE) but its running smoothly when i shift the gear to manual. When in auto,it can manage to change from gear 1 to gear 3 and then refuse to advance to gears 4 to 5. Now i am currentley used to drive it on manual. WHAT CAUSES JERKING?I am in BOTSWANA(SOUTHERN AFRICA) Tell (+267 71371323)

Answer
I'm not sure I understand your question.  Is the car jerking when you shift, or is it jerking when you are in high gears?  Jerking while in high gear can be caused by bad fuel, or air leak on the inlet side.  Jerking when changing gear can be a transmission issue.  Let me know,  Jan
