Audi Repair: 03 Audi A6 radio light wont turn off, radio light, release tools

Question
The stereo in the car won't turn on anymore, but the light on the radio stays on all the time.  Do you think it's a fuse? or is the stereo a goner?

there is a fuse mounted on the radio itself, you will need the audi release tools to get the radio out of the mounts first, they are cheap and can be bought online, check the fuse and replace it if it has blown and also check the contacts for any loose wiring and corrosion. and replace it with the same fuse rating!!
