ANSWER: Not sure I understand your question. Does the transmission lever not move, or does the car not move when the gear position is selected? If you fixed a leak did you replace the fluid that was lost with the correct type? Let me know, Jan

QUESTION: HI AGAIN,
FIRST THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.
THE SHIFTER IS MOVING INTO GEARS OK, BUT THE CAR IS NOT MOVING AT ALL. I DID REFILL THE OIL THAT I DRAINED OUT.
I CAN PUT MORE OIL IN IT IF THAT MAY BE AN ISSUE??!
I THING THAT THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER THE ONE ONE THE TRANSMISSION IS STUCK AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHECK THAT.

ANSWER: If the car does not move forward or reverse, then there is a more serious problem with the transmission. It may be that there is not enough oil in there, but be careful not to overfill the transmission, as running too much fluid can be as bad as running too little. I would have a transmission expert look at it. Good luck, Jan

THANKS FOR READING MY QUESTIONS :-).HERE IS ALL WHAT HAPPEN; THIS IS FRONT WHEEL DRIVE ONLY, THE CAR WAS RUNNING OK IT ONLY HAS A LEAK AT THE END OF TRANSMISSION AND BECAUSE THERE IS EXHAUST DIRECTLY BELOW IT WAS DRIPPING RIGHT ON IT AND BURNED TO SMOKE SO I DIG TO IT AND THERE IS A LIKE LITTLE AIR TUBE AT THE TOP OF THAT ENDING TRANSMISSION COVER AND RIGHT THERE THE OIL WAS COMING OUT, BUT ONLY WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS LIKE ACCELERATE, SO I TOD THERE IS A LEAKING SEAL INSIDE, SO I TOOK THE END COVER OUT TO SEE IF THERE IS A SEAL TO BE FIXED, BUT ALL I FOUND WAS LIKE THREE PIECE OF GEAR WITH BEARINGS...NOTHING WITH SEAL OF ANY KIND, VERY SIMPLE SETUP NOTHING COMPLICATED SO I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND REFILL THE DRAINED OIL AND SINCE I HAD THE SHIFTER LOOSEN I KNOW THAT I MOVE IT I HAD TO ADJUST THAT SO IT WILL SHIFTS INTO EACH GEAR, NOW ALL IS DONE AND I DID TRY MORE OIL FILL IT UP, BUT STILL NOTHING IN ANY GEAR CAR WON'T MOVE, BUT HEY :-) SINCE IS NOT MOVING THERE IS NO LEAK..HA..HA......AND SORRY BUT I HAVE TO ASK SINCE YOUR NAME IS "JAN" DO YOU HAVE ANY CZECHOSLOVAKIEN RELATIVES, BECAUSE I'M ORIGINALY FROM CZECH REPUBLIC AND "JAN" IS POPULAR NAME OVER THERE YOU KNOW?!.....O.K. AnswerIf you are sure that you put everything back the way that it was, and re-filled with the correct type and amount of oil, then there is no reason for the transmission to fail. It could be that the oil is not building up enough pressure in the torque converter to be able to drive, but again this should be checked by a specialist. The name Jan is also very popular in The Netherlands... ;-) Good luck and let me know what you find.
