Audi Repair: Audi A3 1.8T Electric Window Switch, audi a3, window switch

I've just replaced the drivers side electric window regulator & motor and although the window now goes up & down you have to pull up the switch with successive rapid movements to get the window to go up.Its fine going down but not coming back up.I cant figure it out beacause its the same if I use the remote key rather than the window switch.I've tried resetting the 'one touch' electric window function but that hasnt cured it either.Your help would be appreciated.

If you keep the switch up, does the window go up smoothly?  There could be a remaining issue with the switch itself, they do fail fairly frequently.  It sounds like the switch may be intermittent.  Did you reset the one touch by winding the window up and down continuously a few times?  Let me know,  Jan
