ANSWER: The flashing oil light could be caused by a faulty oil pressure sensor.  I believe the sensor sits close to the oil filter.  Have you got an oil pressure gauge?  Use the gauge to verify the pressure switch; if the oil pressure is good, which it probably should be since you replaced the pump, the sensor is both cheap and easy to replace.  Look for a switch, and cehck it with an ohm meter while the engine is running.  Also check the contacts, since this may also affect the performance.  Good luck,  Jan

QUESTION: i checked the pressure it oksy it doesnt drop...but i could find the sensor...could u tell me exactly were its located how it looks like....

Answer
It is in the housing above the oil filter, look for a switch with black insulation and wires going to it.  Check the wire connections and also check the switch.  I cannot post pictures but people can on the forums, so you could have a look on audiworld.com, audizine.com and audifans.com to see if someone has posted images of the switch.  It is also in the shop manual, you can go to your dealer and have them look it up.  Good luck,  Jan
