Audi Repair: cooling, audi a6 quattro, coolant tank

hi, its been really hot here in new york, i just had my 2000 audi a6 quattro coolant tank crack and sprayed all of my engine, what could this be, also the radiator fan does not spin.

It sounds like the engine severly overheated.  The fan has to work in hot weather, especially if the car is moving slowly.  Check the fan, if OK check the thermal switch.  You will also need to replace the expansion tank, obviously; these cannot be repaired.  Good luck,  Jan
