Audi Repair: Audit A3 loss of power and speed, 2005 audi a3, audit a3

I have a 2005 audi A3 2.0 FSI petrol manual - still under warranty.Twice in the past 2 weeks whilst driving at approx 70mph it has suddenly lost power and irrespective of gear reduces power/speed to a maximum of 30mph and will travel for miles this way - but dangerous on a motorway! "EPC" and Electronic Stabilisation warning lights come on. The dealer has claimed both times that they can do nothing as the cars computer has stored no fault information and the problem has not repeated during their testing. Any help / advice would be gratefully received.

This is frustrating for you as well as the dealer.  It sounds like perhaps a wheel speed sensor is malfunctioning, stopping the power since the car thinks the wheel is spinning.  Next time this happens, stop the car completely, and re-accelerate.  If all fails I would replace all the wheel sensors.  Good luck,  Jan
