Audi Repair: ABS module, emergency stop, a6

I was looking at 99 A6 Avant.  The owner says it needs abs module.  What does this involve.  How will effect the driving until it is replaced. Thanks Dave

I would take this car to be checked out by a knowledgeable mechanic.  The owner is probably selling because he has been quoted a high repair price.  The ABS module will probably show up on the warning display, and will not affect anything until you need to make an emergency stop in slippery weather...  When you will wish you still had functional ABS.  Good luck,  Jan
