Audi Repair: 2008 Audi A4 Oil Consumption, 2008 audi a4, oil consumption

Question
My new Audi consumes oil at a rate of 1qt/2,000 miles.  I take it to the dealership every time the low oil light comes on and have had 3 oil consumption tests done.  The dealership says all is normal but I don't buy it.  They refuse to do any more than top off/change oil.  I took the car to another dealer who gives me the same song and dance (keep 2 qts oil in trunk - check oil every time I fill up gas - all new cars consume oil - if it is within guidelines, there is nothing we can do).  I also had a fuel pressure sensor failure which the dealership did replace.  What can cause a new car to lose so much oil and what can I do to get them to fix the car??

Answer
I would contact Audi directly, however the norms state that up to 1qt per 1000 miles is 'acceptable' although I agree with you, a new car should not consume oil to anywhere near that level.  The tolerances on your car are obviously a little sloppy, but I don't know if you can get them to do anything...  Good luck,  Jan
