Audi Repair: audi tt cooling fans, temperature sensors, audi tt

i have just had the cam belt changed on a 2001 tt 225 roadster and now both cooling fans come on straight away on start up, they go off if the ac is switched off. the car now does not reach normal running temp with these fans running continuous. any ideas please

It sounds like one of the temperature sensors was not connected up, or has malfunctioned.  Although in the summer, the temp is such that as soon as the AC is switched on, the aux coooling fan quite often kicks on fairly early.  The coolant sensor should be checked.  let me know what you find,  Jan
