Audi Repair: Would that hurt my engine?, tiptronic transmission, audi a6

Hi. I have the tiptronic transmission in 2000 Audi A6. my car was going kind of slow and I though it was on third gear but I actually was on 2nd. I wanted to downshift so the car goes faster. Being on 2nd gear the car downshifted to 1st. The rpm jumped really close to the red lines, the car got really loud like it never did before and starting shaking, but only for a sec. The car didn't even go that fast after the downshift. I've gotten my car close to redline before I'm only really worried this time because of it being on the 1st gear which I understand I shouldn't put too much pressure on. Did I kill my engine doing that?

I doubt you did any real damage, is the car behaving ok right now?? are there any abnormal sounds like knocking or rattling?? any leaks from the engine?? if no then there should be nothing to worry about, keep an eye on the performance of the vehicle, if anything changes then let me know and ill advise you further
