I have an Audi a4 Cabrio 2002 2.4 v6 multi tronic
its starts first time without a problem however after a long journey or long enough for the enine to het up. I leave it for 10 -15 mins it will not start. It turns over but nothing. if I leave it for 10 mins it then starts.

Hi Sanjay,

Sounds like you have a problem with the temperature sender on the coolant circuit, some times when they fail the engine control unit cannot tell the right temperature and cant decide which circuit to use i.e. open or closed loop.

I'd start by replacing the switch first, and is the problem is still there then use the info I have given on this site to others for not starting/hard starting.
