Audi Repair: 96 Audi A4 Quattro, coolant temperature sensor, mass airflow sensor

Question
i have a 96 Audi A4 Quattro, when the car is cold it will start right up and then when you are driving it and you are at a steop the car will stall and i have to hold down the gas peddle to get the car started again, and then if i shut the car off after it gets hot it wont start up, i have changed the fuel Pump, and fuel filter. what else could it be?

Answer
this could be due to a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor which gives the computer the wrong information and messes up the mixture, or it could be a bad Mass Airflow Sensor.  Are there any codes in the computer?  It may be worth getting those read out to try and identify the problem.  Let me know,  Jan
