Audi Repair: 2000 Audi A4 T 1.8, power transistor, audi a4

Question
Approximately three days ago, we started having problems with our passenger window.  It started to get a mind of its own.  When starting the car, the window would go down.  We'd put it up and it would just go down again.  The driver side door control for this window would not work and the passenger side door control only worked once in awhile.  Neither controls work at all now.  The rest of the windows in the car are fine, without any problems at all.  Another problem ! Today I also noticed the dashboard digitial display reset the date in my car back to 01/01/1999 and the MPG gauge was fluctuating drastically.  Any ideas what the problem might be?  A fuse maybe?

Answer
Sounds like the control module is faulty.  This is located under the dash.  There are some relays there also, but I do not think the relay can be related to your instrument cluster problem.  This is probably a power transistor problem, likely on the cluster itself.  Check the fuses anyway.  Let me know what you find,  Jan
