My check engine light keeps coming on. Can that be a result from the gas that i use. Should I only be using super gas.

The only reason the check engine light will come on is if the emission system doesn't work properly. I doubt the gas would cause that problem. do you hear any 'pinging' when the vehicle is under load like when climbing a hill in a high gear???

Have a diagnostic carried out and depending on the result you may need to replace a sensor or two.
