Audi Repair: 1995 Audi A6 quattro wagon, metal reinforcement, reinforcement bar

Question
I just got a whopping bill for replacing an ignition switch and coil in the above mentioned audi.  About $500 for labor alone and $200 for parts.  Even @ $75/hour that's about 5 hours of work?  Does that sound right?

And to top it all off, my 1 year old radio doesn't work now even though it was flawless when I dropped it off.  The guy totally blew me off.

Answer
Ignition switch can be quick or a complete pain, depends on the model...  On the old 5000 there was a metal reinforcement bar in the way which made it almost impossible.  The forums should mention the requirements for your car; on my 1996 cabrio it was a 10 minute job...  What is the symptom with the radio?  There is a fuse at the back of the radio, maybe it has blown?  Let me know,  Jan
