Audi Repair: AUDI A6 1999, audi a6 1999, jumper cables

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1999 Audi A6 and it will not start. I replaced the plugs, wires and coil packs because the spark was weak and it was sparking at different parts of the engine. Like through the plug wires and the ground wire to the coil pack. It started one day and the next it wouldn't start. Not sure what it could be. Appreciate any help.

ANSWER: Well if you have already changed the coils, plugs and wires, the ignition should  be good.  There could be many reason for a no-start problem, and it is either ignition, fuel or compression.  There might be a fault code in the computer, so I would get a readout of the codes first.  Let's see what that brings.  Let me know,  Jan

QUESTION: I was able to get the car started and I have some codes that I am not sure what they mean. I put jumper cables on the the car and it started even though it didn't seem like it was drained that much. The car was apparently flooded.
These are the codes: P1136, P0441 and there are two pending codes: P0432, P1139.
The check engine was on before I changed the coil and thought that may be why it was on but it is still on. One more thing that happens that is odd. When I fill the car up it will not start the first time. The second time I have to give it a little gas to get it going and it runs a little rough for a minute. I normally fill it up but the other day I just put half a tank in and it started the first time. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Answer
Sounds like there are some blockages in the EGR system, which is affecting the fule metering and mixture.
You can get information on the codes by going to: http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tech/audi/audi.dtc.table.htm
I have no idea why the car would have different starting characteristics when half full as opposed to full... Sounds weird.  The EGR components can normally be cleaned effectively with some steel wire and a wire brush.  Let me know,  Jan
