Audi Repair: Diagnostic plug in, code scanner, kick panel

Hello, I have a 1993 Audi 90 that I would like to plug a code scanner into. But I can not find the diagnostic plug any where. Any idea were to look?

First of all I'm not sure if the 1993 models had OBD plugs, however if they do, normally the plug is located in the lower part of the dashboard on the kick panel side.   In some models, the plug is located behind a cover in the back of the center console, but although I have often seen cutouts and locations for the OBD socket, I've never actually found one there.  Worth a look though.  Let me know where you find it.  Jan
