Audi Repair: 2003 A6 Brake Lights Stuck on, brake light switch, a6

My brake lights are staying on even after I turn the engine off.  I am assuming this is due to an issue with the brake on/off switch.  Where is this located and can it get out of adjustment and is it readjustable?

Yes this sounds like a faulty (or sticky) brake light switch.  This switch is situated under the dash, on the brake pedal arm.  There is an adjustment on the switch which is fairly obvious.  As long as the pedal comes all the way back, and the problem persists, then the switch is probably bad.  A fairly easy replacement once you get situated under there; move the seat all the way back.  Let me know how you get on,  Jan
