I have Audi A6 avant 10/1998 2.8 30 valve engine. Buttery died was jumpstart by aaa drove fine and everything. next morning i try to recharge buttery and try to start but no response. Put new buttery in and engine light is on.it will start if you press gas pedal and at 1200rpm start to rev and generally no power, want shift properly, engine light on. On gen scener it show that throttle position sensor is trouble, we change it and same again. Help please.

Answer
HI
Key was more like it ON when you put the jumper on the car. For the future make sure key is OFF before connecting jumper.
Looks like throttle sensor lost its value or the sensor is faulty, If new one is on the car it just needs to be adapt.
You will need Audi or any VAG scanner. Go to engine, 04- basic settings and channel 60. This will run the adaptation, you have see numbers going up or down and than ADP OK>
good luck                   pltech
