Audi Repair: 1998 audi a4 non-quattro, audi a4, brake pads

Question
Hi, I just have a few questions..
1) when is it really neccessary to change the oil in my car? people say that every 3 mnths is not needed. I drive a little less than 500 miles a month

2) my clutch seems very high, I'm practically letting go completely after i step on my gas pedal. how do i know when i need a new clutch, and how much should i expect to spend on that?

3) it seems like sometimes when i'm getting out of first gear switching to second, it feels like it almost pops out.  do you know why?

4) when i back out of my driveway in the morning and  start to drive forward theres a squeeky sounds that goes on for about 10 seconds as my tire rotate, then stops.. do you know what is causing this?

Thank you!

Answer
hello
1. If you use regular oil do it every 3-4K . I use syntetic and I chenge it every 6 K
2&3. Clutch. It will start to slip soon, I would wait till than. All depends where you go, dealer is the most expensive, but if something go wrong you will have warranty (just find out for how long) most of the time 12/12 and they will use AUDI parts. Outside shop or garage will be a lot cheaper.
4. Check your brake pads, they may be low.
good luck                 pltech
