Hi greg

thankyou for all your help, my problem is now sorted.

i finally got around to replacing the mass air flow sensor and all is ok now drives like new:)

i have got one other small problem, my temp gauge only works now and again its been like that for ages and i had the sensor changed long time ago and now my fuel gauge is doin the same everything else is ok,
ive been on a few forums and people are saying the complete clocks need changing for new ones which are very expensive.

can you tell me if the clocks are a common problem on my audi or can it be something esle?

thanks

Answer
Hello . I'm happy to know that your A4 runs like new.
I saw clocks going bad but I also saw bad fuel senders inside tank. please, let me know what exaclly the gauge is doing. Is it working sometimes or stuck in one point?
Every VAG scan tool can test all the gauges ( address 17 , than 03- final test output) they all must go to zero and than to full and back to half. If they do that they all OK.

thanks,  GREG
