Auto Electronics: coil and plug wires, volt ohm meter, coil specs

Hi, Donald. I want to check my plug wires with a volt/ohm meter. What is the procedure and what ohmage specs should I be looking for in general. 1968 Pontiac 428, Mallory Pro Sidewinder wires, Mallory pro coil. Specs for stock wires would be helpful also. Thanks!

Darryl, I do not have a specification for you. Measure the shortest one first then the others by length, the resistance should increase proportionally. Personally I don't bother. If you have a problem and you suspect leakage or voltage breakdown, spray them with water after dark and look for any spark to ground. Salt water works best, be sure to be careful with your hands around the belts and fan. Don.
