Auto Electronics: 2000 dodge ram cd player, pulse code modulation, dodge ram

I have a 2000 dodge ram and a factory cd player.  It will play a cd from the store, but when I burn a cd on my computer, it will not play.  It ejects it and it says ERR on the display.   What can I do about this?   Thank you very much.

Tim, more than likely the formatting of the CD is incompatible with the player. Check your owners manual to see exactly what formats can be used with the player. Many of the new formats including mp3 and wma, cannot be used by the player. A standard CD purchased from a store, is recorded using PCM, pulse code modulation. Check your computer's software program to see what options are available to record. Don.
