recently purchased a 2005 Deville with 75K miles.  suspension seems to soft and drags when going through a dip.  Also, hear tire slap when crossing cracks in the road.  Steering seems kind of stiff or hard when crusing at road speeds.  Are there solutions?

What this sounds like is a problem with the air suspension system. There are two ways to approach this. If you want to diagnose the exact issue you could download the factory service manual for about $30.00 at http://www.alldata.com. Or you could have it checked out. Either the compressor to fill the air shocks for load leveling is the problem or the lines or the shocks themeslves.
