Cadillac Repair: 1988 Cadillac Deville, auto theft claim denial settlement expert, arc forensics

Question
how much would it cost to get the trunk and the blinkers fixed?

Answer
Hello,

I can't tell you without knowing what the problems are.

I will go only by what I know could be the problems. If the turn signals don't flash, chances are that it is a flasher. There are two flashers in the car. Depending on where the fuse box is located, one was in the fuse box. A round yellow, blue or silver component. The second is under the dash located somewhere near the steering column. If you find the four way and listen for it with the emergencies turned on, remove and find the turn signal flasher. Put the 4 way flasher in place of the regular flasher. If turn signals work, just buy a flasher for the 4 ways (about $10) and you are good to go.
As I said, I am only guessing the problem, since you did not specify.

The second common problem is where the trunk will not close because of a defective pull down. I never liked these Cadillac features and these were the only car that had this feature. It's more trouble than it is worth and can become expensive to diagnose and repair.

However, I can make this repair cost you nothing. Open the trunk. Look upward and at the end of the trunk (Highest part) lid, you will see a plastic panel with some screws holding it. Remove panel. Remove panel on the body where you see the latch. Look upward again at the latch. You will see three bolts with a 10 mm head. Loosen those bolts. You will see where the holes in the latch where the bolts go are slotted. Push the latch upward, not quite to the end of the slots. Tighten bolts. Try closin lid like you would on any other car. If trunk closes tightly, put the panels back and your done. If the trunk does not latch, try adjusting the latch a little lower and tighten. It will take some playing around until you get the trunk lid closed to the way you want it. That costs nothing to fix.

I hope my thoughts help you and if not, you will need to be more specific as to the problems you are having.

Please excuse me, but I am going to little business promotion here because my answer to assist you was so extensive.

Good luck!

A&R Forensic Auto Lab LLC is the leader in the SIU investigation process with 23 years experience working with the SIUs in auto theft claims. Unlike everyone else in the industry, we do not serve insurance companies exclusively and commonly represent insureds in auto theft claims investigations. We also offer consulting and expert witness services to plaintiff (insureds) attorneys.
Whether in the beginning of an investigation, or to the point of an EUO (Examination Under Oath), you need our services. We are not attorneys, however our clients give us this power to represent them under a Power of Attorney (POA), which makes us a tremendous danger to the auto theft insurance investigation.
If you have been denied on your auto theft claim, it is common to retain an attorney and that is fine, however the general attorney has not the knowledge about these issues, and they will need to retain an expert in auto theft, which would be only our firm. In our case, we know all the inside information on the investigation process, we have been involved in bad faith cases for close to 20 years and we do not need an expert.
It is common that we can get a denied claim turned into a settlement instead of a drawn out over the years court trial.
If your vehicle is stolen, contact the police. Second, give your recorded statement to your insurance company. Third contact us immediately at 866-490-1673.
Remember this: If your auto theft claim is under investigation, the carrier is not looking for the thief. They are looking to build a circumstantial claim linking the insured to the theft.
Today's vehicles are considered by insurance companies, to be unstealable, and that is simply untrue. However they hire independent forensic locksmiths that serve as their experts to support this nonsense. One other advantage we have: We know all the national forensic locksmiths and their ambiguous report writing to support their insurance client in order to accuse the insured of being part of the theft. No one knows these claims/cases better! This may sound arrogant, but it's not, it's a proven fact.

We look forward to serving you.
