i have a 1989 eldarado with head light issues, dash board light turn off by them selves, doors dont lock. I was told the car needs a new computer. how do i get one and how do i install it?

I would suggest you check at one of the big name parts stores and see if they have one for the car. Instructions for install should come with it. I do not have a seervice manual for this car anymore, but I think you will find the computer behind the passenger side kick panel under the dash. Not much to relacing. Remove the panel, detach the computer, unplug and plug new one in. You may have to use your EPROM, but that is like changing a car on a computer. No big deal!
