Cadillac Repair: alarm systems, key of the proper type, last key used

my 1995 cadillac concurs STATING  DISABLED DUE TO THEFT SYSTEM .REMOVE KEY WANT 3 MIN DOS NOT WORK AT ALL .CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO FIX IT ...?

Very common problem with the GM VATS. The cheapest and easiest way to fix is call around to local alarm stores. Find out who has the VATS bypass kit (Comes free with all alarms with remote start) and have them bypass. Its not a big deal, but does require time knowledge and equipment for you to bypass. It shouldn't cost $60.00 for an alarm store to get you fixed up.

If you need to get the engine running, try tilting the column in different positions and try to start. If you play with it, it will get you started to get it over to an alarm store.

Dealer wants $700 to change out the ignition lock and harness.

There are two very thin (Like land line phone wire) wires that break inside the plastic insulation and they will go back together with movement of the column. You will never see the break.
