Cadillac Repair: blower motor, auto theft claim denied on purported forensics for key of the proper type

Question
For several weeks I turn the AC on and it works fine for a few minutes, then nothing. No air out of the vents, whether or not it is on econ/ac/defrog/or heater.

Then after a few minutes or so, it comes back on and stays on with no further issues, works great. Next time I start it, same thing.

Now today it never came back on. It appears the AC is working under the hood, but no nothing out of the vents no matter what the settings.

There are no codes either.

Answer
Hello,

COMMON Cadillac problem. What year. It is not the blower motor. Some equipped with molded resistor modules on passenger side frewall fail. $300-$500 if you can find one. You will know right away if so equipped. Follow the blower motor wire up and if it goes to a module in the A/c plenum, that is what you need. If not equipped, you need a BCM Body Control Module (Computer). On module equipped can be bypassed, but then you either have high blower or off.

Good luck!
