Question
I have this 1994 cadillac deville concours and this past weekend i was was going on vacation my my battery was dead and i had it replaced and the next day car just killed it again and this time i had it charged and as i was driving home the instrument panel came on saying "battery high volts" and the "service engine soon" light came on and idk what to do about this.
This is the first time this has happen to my car i have owned my car since 2004 and it has given me no problems before.

Answer
Hello,

You have some sort of charging issue. Loose belt, bad alternator. You could also have a paristic draw, but if your alternator is not putting out 13.2 volts, its not charging enough to keep up with the natural battery drain.
