how do i change the alternater on my 1991 cadillac deville?

Hello,

The serpentine belt must be removed. Negative battery cable should be removed.The 2 or 3 mounting bolts removed and then the connectors.

Before you do this, why do you think you need an alternator? What happens very often is that people needlessly replace perfectly good parts on a bad diagnoses on starters, batteries and alternators. I am not saying that is the case here, but before you do this, what did you do to determine the alternator was bad?
I don't trusts parts stores because they may have the equipment, but most commonly no mechanical knowledge and in some cases don't even know how to use the equipment supplied.
