Answer
Hello,

Sorry for the delay in answering, but got caught yet again with the wonderful defense attorneys working for State Farm trying to defend a case they have no defense for. They are again trying to misdirect and attack me instead with their over reaching over bearing questions for production of documents an got hung up on that.
This is a case with an auto theft where their purported forensic expert stated in his report "All anti theft components were destroyed by fire. He examined two keys out of four and said they were not use as a guide to duplicate a key. Then he said the last time the car was driven was with a programmed key. Because of this report with lack of evidence, the insured was denied on his auto theft claim and since we are the only competent firm that dares question these forensic experts working for the insurance companies in this field in the world, defense attorneys will deflect from the report and attack me. When they do this, it takes lots of time to gather what they request. They want to know about our forensic lab. I am thinking about bringing "Colt" my 85 pound black lab and they can inspect by lifting his tail-LOL Think I wouldn't? Then you don't know me.
The first thing I would do is to look at the owner's manual for circuit breaker location and swap out with another circuit breaker in the location and see if the windows work.

Other wise you are going to have to do to a parts store and get a cheap test light. Pull the driver's door switch assembly and check for constant power to the switch. If there is no power, bad news. You have some broken wires inside the boot at the pinch point of the front of the inside door.
The only way to repair properly is pull the panel and disconnect every connector in the door. Pop off the boot and pull out the wires. The breaks will be obvious.
Don't try to do what we did and slice the boot. We never did, but we have seen people nick the wires with a razor blade creating even more problems. Another fine GM idea at work. Very common on older vehicles.

Good luck!
