Cadillac Repair: keyless entry remote, auto theft forensic locksmith bad faith EUO SIU consultant expert

Question
I bought a keyless remote for my 1994 Cadillac deville, It came with some instructions but confused at the first part.
It says to "ground the black wire at the trunk pull down unit". I read your answer to a similar question but i got confused about making a wire and connecting it to a bare metal piece and still can't find the wires you explained.

Answer
Hello,

Throw the instructions out. Owner's manual will tell you how to program. I didn't tell anyone to ground wires. That may have been someone else.
I generally try to stay away from the factory alarms and keyless entries, but I have programmed remotes for wife's Navigator and my Suburban from the suggestions from the owner's manual.

Did you buy the key less from the Internet or dealer or an alarm store? Generally, if you buy from dealer or alarm store they will program at no cost because it only takes a minute or so.

Sometimes because this site is so large, there may be confusion between experts. I deal with the after market stuff when it comes to alarms and key less entry.

I think you will find the owner's manual easier to understand and you don't stand the chance of burning something up.

Good Luck
