I can get my security light to go off and the controls are not functioning
properly trunk won't pop the gas lid won't pop and the heat controls
won't work. would it be the battery?

You do not say if the engine cranks or runs. What makes you suspect a bad battery?

Car serviced lately? Any like kind issues in the past? You state you got the security off. After market or factory? Do you mean the door locks unlocked with remote transmitter?
