Cadillac Repair: 89 Cadillac Sedan De Ville fuel problem, California court qualified forensic locksmith, transpondr anti-theft defeat

Question
We have had this car in storage for over 3 years. Gas is old and can't get siphon into tank to empty because of siphon block. Can you help? Want to get it running? Has about 1/2 tank? Can we add high octane gas to car? Got any suggestions?
thanks, Adrienne

Answer
Hello,

Unfortunately, this fine unleaded gas with its EPA standards has probably turned to varnich and has no ignion qualities left.

The right wAy of doing this without plugging the fuel injector rails is to drop the tank, disgard the old gas and install a new electric fuel pump. Tank should be boiled out at a radiator store or parts store before changing pump. Fuel filter must be replaced and lines blown out.

You might think this is too expensive, but it is cheaper than replacing the injection system.

DO NOT USE starter fluid on this aluminum engine!!!

Good luck!
